珍珠妹就是我.......

As I headed home on the 405 tonight, I was in the #1 lane.  At first there was a bit of traffic so everyone was going about 10-15 MPH, so it's common to see each car not having much distance in between.  But as the speed picked up, people started to keep a safe distance, except for the car behind me.

OK, I get it, we're in the passing lane and he would love to be going 80-90MPH. Here's the deal, buddy: the person in front of me was going no more than 70MPH, so unless I flew over him, there was no way I would be going any faster than 70MPH while keeping a safe distance.   I even slowed down a tiny bit to hint the person behind me to give a little room and not be right on my tail.  Of course he didn't get it and continued to be on my ass for the next 5 miles.   I so much wished to have a loud speaker on my car so I could shout "BACK OFF YOU F*CKING IDIOT!"

Even though the #2 lane occasionally had some space for the person behind me to move into and perhaps even cut off the person in front of me, he didn't take it.  I was getting majorly irritated because it's just too dangerous to be following that closely.  Finally, about 4 exits before mine, I started to move into the #2 lane. As soon as I got into the #2 lane, I realized that I had no cars in front of me for a long stretch, so I gunned it, even passing the car that was originally in front of me in #1 lane. I guess it pissed off the Honda that was tailgating me because it was soon behind me and once again, right on my ass! 

WTF?!  Can you be any more ignorant, you asshole?  As I needed to, I moved into the #3 lane, thinking that the asshole would just fly pass me in #2.  I even justified his actions as unintentional, until what happened next.

Well, he soon proved me wrong. The asshole decided to continue tormenting me, and followed me right into the #3 lane again.  Now, I'm way past the age for road rage, plus I was just trying to get home!  So I ignored him and proceeded to get into #4 lane, as my exit was fast approaching.  As soon as I did so, that idiot in the Honda switched back into #2 lane from #3 and sped off.

That last action basically told me that he wanted some type of a road rage, or a race.  Heck, if I was 10 years younger (not that I was driving @ the age of 20, but I'm talking about IF), I might have entertained him.  But I'm wayyyy beyond that.

The whole time I was on the road, I had KIIS FM on.  The host was interviewing some singer named E4 or E40, and he irritated the heck out of me as well.  OK, I don't speak properly all the time and occasionally use slangs.  Sometimes I say "you know" at the end of a sentence, and use "like" as a comma.  Note, I say "sometimes."  Well, this E4 dude apparently doesn't like to just pause in between sentences.  He used different phrases & sentences as his commas and periods, like "u-know-wha-i-mean?", "you dig?", "you know wha-i'm-talkin-bout?", and "you hear?"

Yes, we know what you mean, we dig it, we know what in the world you're talking about, and yes, we hear you!  Can you just please stop using those phrases every 5-10 seconds????????

So yeah, by the time I pulled off the freeway, I was quite fed up with both this dude and the Honda dude.  I'm glad that I'm not one to stay pissy for long, because the song "American Boy" by Estelle & Kanye West soon lifted my spirit.  It's such a cute little song! 

Anyway, just wanted to rant about the two idiots that I witnessed on the way home.
